加拿大LPI

LPI（Language Proficiency Index）語文能力指數

是加拿大的一個英文測試，最初期是University of British Columbia 研究出來並要求學士學位一年級生升讀二年級前必須通過的一個測試，主要反映學生英文讀寫能力。不但國際學生須要參加，本地學生亦無可避免。如果沒有通過測試便不可以進入相應的課程從而拿不到完整的學分 

近年來，已經廣泛受英屬哥倫比亞省的大學所應用，如果同學以中學或社區學院考上SFU Simon Fraser University 就會被要求考 LPI。由於大學銜接課程中設有英語課程，一般以該課程升大學的便可以豁免。
